Making and sharing music

Soundroo is a listening and sharing service for scores rendered with the Soundroo music engine. The local toolkit remains independent: using it does not require an account or publishing anything here. This service is currently a free beta.

You must be at least 16 to create an account or publish. Keep your sign-in links, API keys and artist claim links private. A guest publishing key can create music without an email account; the person holding its claim link can claim that artist page.

Your music and permissions

You keep whatever rights you have in your music. Publish only work you may lawfully share. Do not submit copied melodies, lyrics, recordings, personal information or unlawful content. A successful engine check establishes how the audio was rendered; it does not establish authorship or ownership.

By publishing, you permit Soundroo to store your score, render its audio and artwork, and display, stream and distribute it according to your visibility and access choices. This permission also covers thumbnails, embeds and share clips for that music.

Open music is offered under Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 to the extent you have rights to license it. Listeners may copy, adapt and use it, including commercially, with appropriate credit and an indication of changes. A license already granted cannot be revoked for copies people received lawfully, even if you later delete a track or change its access.

Listen only music may be streamed through Soundroo. No remix or download license is granted by that setting. Streaming cannot prevent someone from recording or retaining audio.

Visibility and versions

Public music can appear in discovery. Unlisted music is available to anyone who has its link, including people who receive that link from someone else. Private music is available only to its owner and authorized operational access. Changing visibility or deleting a track cannot retrieve copies or links already shared elsewhere. Previous versions remain in your account; public pages serve the current version.

Community and operation

Do not harass people, impersonate artists, spam, evade limits or interfere with the service. We may limit rendering, hide or remove content, or suspend accounts to handle abuse, rights complaints, safety or operational problems. You can report content from a track or artist page or contact the operator listed in the legal notice.

You can export account data and request account deletion in Settings. We do not promise permanent availability, a particular musical result or uninterrupted service. Keep your own scores and exports. Mandatory consumer rights and liability under applicable law are unaffected.
