Use Soundroo in ChatGPT or Claude

Chat apps can’t run the Soundroo toolkit, so they use the Soundroo connector. You add it once and sign in. After that, you paste the same prompt into a chat and get a link to your track.

Claude

  1. On claude.ai or in the Claude app, open Customize, then Connectors.
  2. Press + Add, choose Add custom connector, name it Soundroo and paste the URL above. Keep the sign-in settings Claude suggests.
  3. Connect and sign in to Soundroo with Google, GitHub or an email link. The first sign-in creates your account.
  4. Start a chat, turn on Soundroo under + and Connectors, and paste the prompt below.

The free Claude plan allows one custom connector. Claude’s help page has the current steps.

ChatGPT

  1. Open chatgpt.com/plugins, press + and choose Add custom MCP server. If that option is missing, turn on Developer mode in ChatGPT’s settings first.
  2. Name it Soundroo, paste the URL above, accept the warning and press Create as a plugin.
  3. Sign in to Soundroo when ChatGPT asks. The first sign-in creates your account.
  4. Start a chat, type @, pick Soundroo and paste the prompt below.

Custom connectors work on the ChatGPT website. Not every plan or workspace has them. OpenAI’s help page has the current steps.

Make me a track: [what it should sound like, or "surprise me"]. Use Soundroo for it. If you have Soundroo tools, use them. If you can run commands, clone https://github.com/vincentsch/soundroo, read its AGENTS.md and follow the steps. If you can't do either, send me to https://soundroo.com/connect

What to expect in a chat

A chat makes shorter tracks than a coding agent, one to three per conversation. The assistant can’t hear the music, so listen to the link and tell it what to change. Links from a chat expire after a day. Ask the assistant to put a track on Soundroo to keep it. You can disconnect the app any time in Settings.
